Looping the lakes - May 4-6th
The plan is to make the most of the long weekend by walking a big tour of the Lakes through passes rather than over summits. The round will start on the old A66 below Blencathra and proceed anti-clockwise via Fellside, Skiddaw House, Keswick, Buttermere, Wasdale Head, Boot to High Moss for a brief ‘power nap’ before continuing via Tilberthwaite, Grasmere, Dowthwaitehead back to the start - grand total 82ml & 19,300ft (5860m).
Eastern Peaks Challenge - 9th May
Taking inspiration from the Mynydd Club (see Dominic Oughton’s 2009 journal article ‘Running like a Climber’).a one day friendly challenge to climb on as many crags as possible in the Eastern Peaks. Climb at as many crags from the ‘selected’ list as you can, using your own two feet or bikes to get between them, with extra points available for ‘bonus’ routes.
Presidents Meet - Craigallan 30th May - 2nd June
The presidents meet 2013 will be based at Craigallan and will officially start on the Thursday evening. The intention on the Friday is to go to Etive Slabs and on Saturday to do the 4’s of Aonach Beag, Aonach Mor, Carn Mor Dearg & Ben Nevis. Then back to the hut for a BBQ.

Winter Alpine Meet - March 2 - 9
Based on the tried and trusted format the meet will centre on the Chamonix valley with trips out to other resorts such as Cormayeur and Verbier as well as the adjacent valley of Les Contamines and the nearby Port du Soleil area (Flaine, Chatel etc.). Activities will include on piste/off piste skiing, ski touring, snow shoeing, cross country skiing, ice climbing and winter alpine mountaineering.
